Bless The Lord, Oh My Soul!

Psalms 103

Bless the Lord, O my soul
And all that is within me
Bless His holy name
Bless the Lord, O my soul
And forget not all His benefits
Who heals all your diseases
Who redeems your life from destruction
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies
Who satisfies your mouth with good things
So that your youth is renewed like the eagles
The executes righteousness
And justice for all those who are oppressed
He made known His ways to Moses
His acts to the children of Israel
The Lord is merciful and gracious
Slow to anger and abounding in mercy
He will not always strive with us
Nor will He keep His anger forever
For as the heavens are high above the earth
So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him
The Lord has established His throneIn heaven and His kingdom rules over all

January Sunrise

Breathtaking skies this morning and crisp mountain air. It's amazing the beauty that surrounds us!

Sunshine and rain, snow and cold
Mountains still stand
Life to life all power is given
Expressions in beauty invitations send
Bouncing cursor tell the story!

What is the point to this
Just a tot, just a title
Waived by the wind
Constance is valid
But whim is rule.
Century to century all the same

Our life is a potted plant
Nurtured, fed, trimmed and pruned,
Forgotten, remembered
But always in the care of the
Master’s hands.

Saved by the Hands

If you should paint a picture of their hands.
And draw them up on your canvas of life.
Beyond the years you can see,
Labour and tears hiding the laughter
These hands have worked me.

Once a hand formed a flower.
Once a hand gave us music.
Once a hand gave us hope.
Another hand has grasped the clasp!

For our hands to find comfort.
To hold the one who would take our place,
To grasp the one who was tired of reaching,
With the strength of His hands our hands are held.
We found a place in a mended family!

Granite Walls

O rock that’s washed from waters old
Rock that is barren from the sand
O Rock, Thou that left seeds of faith in me
Rock that is solid ground for me
Rock of Ages wash me once again
Rivers of Noah’s waters flow over
Seeds of faith in granite grain

Wonder of wonders O barren land
You laid lush the sand doesn’t know
And gold the flow in granite veins
Layers of secret messages stir
Compel my soul the waters flow
While the ages wonder till mysteries be revealed
Monuments of truth became one with me
And heavens windows open
Fair Jesus, you’ll come for me

O rock you carried the weight of the world
Like the Savior
Who carried my weight on granite shoulders
Wash me once again
Cover it white like snow
Made the streams to flow again
Water for my soul, water to my life
Jesus, living water, more than snow.

MAY DAY

Another day of pouring rain
One more day of work
Another lonely evening.
Thinking, once I was a child,
longing to be grown up,
Almost there and then
A child again.

Now too old to make a difference,
Thankful for the years gone by.
Thankful for a roof, and things of life.
Thankful for the birds—yellow & black.
For a sewing machine!

Sad, because of a daughter lost.
Knowledge of her parents heritage
Unknown, unrelenting, unlovable,
Forgotten, and hidden to grow old.

O Jesus - turn the box around!
Open it up.
Let us examine the contents.
Add the treasures of Your
Care, Content, Consideration
And there your child shall find
The rain is soft and belonged.

I think of you Jaimie , with this poem i wrote and wish things were different in your life. But take the things that go wrong, and wonder why, turn them around to make them right , I pray God will open the doors for you. You are a wonderful lady!

Family Newsletter 2007

Hello Everyone--

May your New Year find blessings from above and new memories to bring glory to the Father. The story on the side seems kind of doleful, but not so, because many miracles have surrounded each happening. God has been so good in providing, looking after us in every imaginable aspect. Jobs and people and EI and lots of other things to keep us busy, have been there help us along. Songs in the day and peace in the night have been mine. Yes! I may complain! and gripe a lot and come to you, but you have always been there with encouragement. Thank you so much.

My first daughter Jaimie will be moving to Saskatoon to be with their grandmother, it will provide a much needed break for her and company for the grandmother. Josie is quite a grown up lady. She loves to swim and just being a five year old. Thankfully, Jaimie's dad will be around to be with her too.

Curt, is an old married man " he loves that ideal", since December 8 2007. The most beautiful wedding in the province. He bought a new Chev car, a condo, and works at Target.

Clint has returned from Bolivia for a little while while he works at carpentry, and Mindy at her old job, then they plan to go back for a while again. the new school year will start in February. He is driving his white Toyota that Curt picked out for him years ago. With a few repairs it is still running. Here is Clint and I after a day of shopping!!!! and giving Eugene his ultimate -a box of chocolates. Mindy loves photography so she took lots of pictures at the wedding which I have to see yet.

Clarisa and Richard and Taegan have added another baby to the family-boy-Rhys Eric Alexander-November 21, 2007. Taegan loves him to bits and so does his grandmother-me!!!! Richards folks came to visit and we had a good Christmas together. Taegan loves to dress up and look after her brother.

I am still in Hazelton working as a dental assist for one more month and then my job ends until a new one comes along......... I have been to Calgary a few times to be with Dad and for Curt's wedding. Did lots of gardening this summer and started a new way to eat--raw food and green smoothies. I lost 60 pounds. Am renovating my kitchen and over Christmas lost the cold water to the trailer- we- three of us neighbours had to get a new submersible pump and accessories, then my hot water tank decided to quit and we have been up to today to get it working again. Thank you to two neighbors called Donnie who did the work. It was so nice to have hot water again I had two hot baths today...today i hve a cold, the first this year and am drinking ginger tea, and Neo Citron and cold towels around my neck. I keep busy with women's ministry and ready for the new year again.

Here is my new kitchen, a lot of work needs to be done yet so hopefuly by the end of January it will be done.

I want to put tile on the back splash- any ideas out there?????

now if you were to change the layout what would you do?

Well , people, time to go and Best Wishes for the new year, keep the faith, and encouragement to all.
