MAY DAY

Another day of pouring rain
One more day of work
Another lonely evening.
Thinking, once I was a child,
longing to be grown up,
Almost there and then
A child again.

Now too old to make a difference,
Thankful for the years gone by.
Thankful for a roof, and things of life.
Thankful for the birds—yellow & black.
For a sewing machine!

Sad, because of a daughter lost.
Knowledge of her parents heritage
Unknown, unrelenting, unlovable,
Forgotten, and hidden to grow old.

O Jesus - turn the box around!
Open it up.
Let us examine the contents.
Add the treasures of Your
Care, Content, Consideration
And there your child shall find
The rain is soft and belonged.

I think of you Jaimie , with this poem i wrote and wish things were different in your life. But take the things that go wrong, and wonder why, turn them around to make them right , I pray God will open the doors for you. You are a wonderful lady!
